homvo launches video property app that puts agent-filmed homes first

Live since 4 September, the UK's first video-first property app gives independent estate agents a channel of their own, a valuation that asks the vendor for nothing, and enquiries that go to one agent only.

LONDON, 14 October 2026. For more than twenty years, finding a home in Britain has started the same way: a postcode, a set of filters, a grid of photographs. It works well for people who already know they are moving. It was never built for everyone else.

homvo starts earlier. Open the app and homes simply play, each one filmed by the local agent selling or letting it. There is no search box to fill in first. One tap shows the details. One more reaches the agent.

The looker is the next vendor

Most people watching property are not buying yet. Many are homeowners quietly wondering what their own place is worth. Today that person is invisible to the high street until the day they ring a branch for a valuation, and by then they have usually decided which branch to ring.

homvo is built for that moment. Every agent's page carries just value: enter a postcode, see an estimated range. No name, no email, no phone number, no follow-up. The vendor decides when to speak to an agent, and which one.

One enquiry, one agent

When someone does get in touch, the enquiry goes to the agent whose page it came from. It is never sold, shared or passed round competing firms.

A channel the agent owns

Each independent agent or agency on homvo has its own page: its homes on video, its valuation, its name on every film. The agent is not a logo at the foot of a listing. The agent is who people follow, and the films keep working for the branch long after the board comes down.

Agents join on a monthly membership with nothing to pay for the first three months. Details are at homvo.co.uk/patch.

Alongside the portals, not against them

homvo does not ask agents to move their listings, and it does not ask anyone to change where they search. It adds the step that comes before the search, and puts the local agent at the centre of it.

The first page live: Carshalton

homvo’s first live agent is Will Stewart-Brown, a self-employed estate agent with eXp UK, covering Carshalton Beeches, South Sutton, South Wallington and surrounding areas. His homvo page showcases his professionally produced property videos alongside his current listings and an instant property valuation facility.

“Great property marketing is about more than simply taking photographs and putting a property online. My professionally produced, presenter-led videos are designed to showcase not just the property itself, but its setting, atmosphere and lifestyle, creating an emotional connection with buyers. They also help future sellers get to know me and my approach. homvo’s video-first app offers an exciting opportunity to showcase this style of marketing to a wider local audience.”

“I’m not an estate agent. I came at this from the other side of the desk, and what struck me was how much of the trade depends on a moment nobody can see: the homeowner on the sofa at nine at night, watching homes on their phone, wondering. Search was built for people who are ready. We built homvo for the people who are looking, because that is where the next instruction comes from.

“We are not here to replace anything. The portals do their job well. We are adding the part that comes first, and giving it to the agent who knows the street. Our whole idea fits in two words: just look.”
